Dr Christoph Eigen

Royal Society University Research Fellow

I am a Royal Society University Research Fellow at the Cavendish Laboratory. I use ultracold atomic gases held in box traps sculpted from laser light to explore quantum many-body physics. My research focuses on strong interparticle interactions, quantum mixtures, and dynamics far from equilibrium. I am currently building a new experiment to study Bose–Fermi mixtures, exploring how the interplay of interactions and quantum statistics gives rise to novel collective behaviour.
