The Department of Physics is delighted to welcome prospective undergraduate students as part of the University of Cambridge Open Days.
Designed for Year 12 students (or equivalent) and mature applicants (aged 21 and over), the Open Days offer an opportunity to discover what it’s like to study Physics at Cambridge. Visitors can meet current students and staff, learn about our undergraduate course and admissions process, and explore our world-leading teaching and research facilities.
Across both days, the department will host a range of activities, including course presentations, taster lectures, short research talks, practical laboratory demonstrations, admissions Q&A sessions, displays of student work, and opportunities to explore the Cavendish Collection. Visitors can also meet the Isaac Science team and speak with staff and students at our information stand.
Our new home, the Ray Dolby Centre, will be open to prospective students and their families on both days from 1.00pm to 4.30pm.
We look forward to welcoming everyone considering studying Physics at Cambridge. You can find more details here about the Open Days 2026 programme.
