The Scott Lectures return in 2026 with a new prominent speaker, one theme, and three lectures.
The 2026 Scott Lecturer is Professor Stuart Parkin. A pioneer and leader in spintronic materials and devices, Prof Parkin is Director at the Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics, Halle, Germany, and an Alexander von Humboldt Professor at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg.
The Scott Lectures are open to all members of the University community and beyond.

All lectures are in the Ray Dolby Centre (Cavendish Laboratory, J J Thomson Avenenue, Cambridge CB3 0US) on the following dates:

2D van der Waals materials for spintronics
Superconducting Spintronics for Racetrack Memory
