Quentin Gueuning, PhD’19, is a Senior Research Associate at the Cavendish Laboratory of the University of Cambridge, UK. Dr Gueuning is a specialist in electromagnetic simulation and antenna array design. He is involved in several international cosmology experiments, including the Square Kilometre Array, HIRAX, and REACH.
Research
His research interests span computational electromagnetics, numerical analysis, RF system design, and calibration techniques. In particular, he develops innovative full-wave EM solvers, with a focus on improving the design and calibration of instruments targeting the cosmological 21-cm signal.
This theme focuses on observational studies of the unexplored Universe; from its very first moments, through the mysterious early epochs when the Cosmos became the complex realm of celestial objects we know it to be.
