Scott Lectures 2025: New frontier of quantum computing and quantum information

Event Date: March 3, 2025 4:00 pm – March 6, 2025 12:00 pm

Venue: Cavendish Laboratory - Ray Dolby Centre

The Scott Lectures are back. The speaker for this year’s lecture is Professor Mikhail Lukin, who is a leader in the areas of quantum optics and atomic physics, and Head of the Quantum Optics Laboratory at Harvard University.

All lectures are in the Ray Dolby Centre (Cavendish Laboratory, J J Thomson Avenenue, CB3 0US) on the following dates:

  • New field of quantum science and engineering: Monday, 3rd March 2025 at 4:00 PM, Ray Dolby Auditorium
  • Exploring quantum computing frontier with programmable atom arrays: Wednesday, 5th March 2025 at 4:00 PM, Ray Dolby Auditorium
  • Quantum science with atom-like systems in diamond: Thursday, 6th March 2025 at 11:00 AM, Cluster Room

The Scott Lectures have been running at the Cavendish since 1930. Read more about the series’ history and past lecturers here.
