Zoran Hadzibabic received his PhD from MIT in 2003 and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris, before joining the Cavendish as a Lecturer in 2007. He was promoted to Readership in 2012 and Professorship in 2014. His honours include ERC Consolidator and Advanced Grants, an EPSRC Established Career Fellowship, an IOP-SFP Holweck Medal and Prize, a Royal Society Wolfson Fellowship, and a Fellowship of the American Physical Society.
I use ultracold atomic gases as highly controllable experimental systems for studies of fundamental many-body physics. I am particularly interested in strongly correlated and far from equilibrium quantum systems.
