We are sad to report that Emeritus Professor John Field FRS, OBE passed away on 21st October 2020. This was following a short, non-Covid related illness. John will be sadly missed by his family and numerous former students and group members, technical and administration staff as well as numerous members of the industrial and wider research community.
John was the former Head of the PCS Research Group, a former Deputy Head of the Cavendish Laboratory, and a Fellow of Magdalene College, Cambridge.
