Jo Johnson, the Science Minister has announced the first ever winners of the Newton Prize 2017, worth over £200,000, during two-day trip to India. One of the winners is the APEX-II Program which is an EPSRC Newton-funded project advancing technology to create cleaner, more sustainable and affordable energy to improve the quality of life in villages in India.
Professor Sir Richard Friend is a co-Investigator of the APEX-II project which is led by Professor Upadhyaya of Brunel University.
