PNAS 2008 Cozzarelli Prize awarded to Cavendish researcher and collaborators

We are pleased to report that the paper entitled "Müller cells are living optical fibers in the vertebrate retina" co-authored by Dr Jochen Guck, a recently appointed lecturer in the Physics of Medicine in the Cavendish Laboratory, has been recognised by the Editorial Board of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences as being of outstanding scientific excellence and originality. The authors will receive one of six Cozzarelli Paper of the Year Prizes at an Awards Ceremony to be held in Washington, DC on April 27 2008.
