Dr Sarah Bohndiek, a Group Leader at the Cavendish Laboratory and Cancer Research UK Institute of the University of Cambridge, was awarded the 2014 WISE Research Award at the Ceremony held on Thursday 13th November 2014 at the Southbank Centre and Grange Hotel Tower Bridge, London.
This award, which was sponsored by the Institution of Engineering and Technology and the Wellcome Trust, was for Dr Bohndiek's research which used physics and engineering to develop a tool for early cancer detection.
