Student Financial Support for Conference Attendance

The APS SCCM topical group is soliciting faculty nominations of graduate and undergraduate students for financial support to attend the APS SCCM Conference in Nashville in June/July of 2009.

In order to be considered, applications should consist of a letter from the faculty member stating how the applicant would benefit from attending the conference, including current relevant academic and/or research experience. The application should also contain the student's current CV. Finally, it would be helpful to know if the student is also applying for conference/travel support from other agencies.

Applications will be judged based upon the student's current interests, how the conference will benefit their studies and research, quality of faculty recommendation, and any other extenuating circumstances.

Successful applicants will be awarded $600 for travel expenses, and the conference registration fee will be waived. Students wishing to attend the conference banquet must do so at their own expense.
